The passage decides

You won't hear "extreme words are always wrong" from us. Sometimes the passage supports "always." What decides a CARS question is a sentence, so that's what you learn to find.

When you miss, the course names the trap that made the wrong answer look right, and checks later whether it still catches you.

The trap names are our teaching tool, not an official AAMC list. Use the AAMC's official practice material too: it comes from the people who write the exam.

What do I get when I buy today?

Twenty-nine original CARS passages. Twenty are for practice: you work them one at a time and see the full correction after each question. The other nine make up one timed section in the real format: 9 passages, 53 questions, 90 minutes. Around the passages you get the prove-it step, a review of your misses sorted by trap, and your progress by skill.

Can I try it before I buy?

Yes, and you should. Passage 001 is free, with its six questions, the prove-it step and the full correction, plus two new problems that check the same reasoning. The Trap Scan is free too: 20 two-choice traps in about 5 minutes, and at the end you see the traps that catch you.

Is this official AAMC material?

No. These are original practice passages, not official AAMC material, and the trap names are our teaching tool, not an official AAMC list. Use the official AAMC practice material too; it comes from the people who write the exam.

When do the updates come, and do they cost extra?

They're included at no extra cost. The next update brings the course to 59 passages with 2 timed sections; the one after that, to 100 passages with 3 timed sections. Each one goes live once every passage in it has passed our checks, and we don't promise dates. Your license key opens each update as soon as it's live.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It runs in your browser, on a phone or a computer, with nothing to install. After you pay, your license key arrives in your receipt email; open the course, enter the key, and your passages open. The key works on up to 3 devices or browsers at a time. Your progress is saved in the browser you work in and doesn't follow you from one device to another.

How does the founder price work?

It's the same course with the same updates, applied at checkout when you use the button on this page. After the founder date, the price is $99. Either way it's one payment, not a subscription.

What if it isn't for me?

Write to our support address within 14 days of your purchase, from the email you bought with, and you get a full refund. You don't need to give a reason.

Can you guarantee my score?

No. Nobody can honestly promise you a CARS score, and we won't. The timed section is practice under test conditions, not a score prediction, and the difficulty of our passages hasn't been measured against real exam results. What the course does is make your reasoning visible: which sentence decides each question, which traps catch you, and whether a similar problem still catches you 48 hours later.
